I am having an issue with mobs spawning in my WELL LIT House. Its a Modular home, each module adding about 10x10x3 meters of space, and I have lit the whole thing up with torches, no dark spots to be seen, and mobs are STILL spawning in it. Whenever I leave, I run the risk of running into a creeper that spawned in my SUPER LIT UP home.
There might also be one block that has a light level of 7 that you haven't found. Could be a corner or somewhere in the middle. Even if the floor looks well lit there can be a single block that will spawn mobs.
Still spawning hostile mobs. Put it into peaceful for now, but as you can see, there already was a creeper attack from inside. Door was always shut. I took the torches down so I can show what it originally looked like.

Did you check that every single block is at least light level 8?
You need to add lighting to the center of the room; I can tell that it is too dark just by looking, like in this example (my monitor is properly calibrated so I can easily tell if an area is too dark, with brightness set to max, but many people don't do this) - the effective range of a torch (light level 8 or above) is 6 blocks by taxicab, meaning that it is only 6 blocks if it is straight out in any single direction, while if it travels in 2-3 dimensions it will be less (for example, 4 blocks along X and 2 blocks along Y; or 2 blocks along X, 2 blocks along Y, 2 blocks along Z - yes, only 2 blocks in all directions is all that a torch can spawnproof. See this image to see what I mean; for every block above the floor you lose one block of range, so a light level 10 on this image is now only 8, and that is just 2 blocks away along a diagonal).
Also, you can check the light level in-game by pressing F3 and looking at the left side, next to "light", where "block" should be 8 or higher ("sky" is only useful during the day; even at night it will still read 15 under an open sky).

Creepers don't chase players, they run away from CNCharger
Herobrine was never removed, he was just too afraid to face CNCharger.
Herobrine hasn't been on Minecraft since CNCharger first got on. Sadly, CNC went inactive 2 years ago, but Herobrine is too afraid to check.
CNCharger can mine Obsidian with his chin stubble with only one hit.
Players check under beds for Herobrine. Herobrine checks under his bed for CNCharger.
CNCharger with only his fists and no armor killed CaptainSparklez, who had a diamond sword and diamond armor.
Screenshots?
What version are you playing on?
I remember a few versions ago lots of people seemed to be having problems with lighting and mob spawning, mostly on servers.
So if you are on an earlier version of 1.14.x I would suggest updating to 1.14.4
Just testing.

1.14.4
Looks like I need to invest in floor lighting

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
