Good Evening folks! Welcome to Bark's Supercore challenge. I'll be your host, Barkflame! I posted this challenge about four days ago, and have since then revised a few clarifications and the tier system.
BARKFLAME’S SUPERCORE MINECRAFT
Version 1.1
Welcome to Supercore Minecraft! This challenge is inspired by the Tree Spirit Legacy as well as the City Construction challenge, but plays at an even harder level. Looking for a new reward for your minecraft experience? Well you’ve found it.
I plan to set up a how to video, to go along with these rules. Obviously if you don’t enjoy the rule set, chop and change it to suit your needs. I personally play with Twilight Forest and Optifine, along with John Smith’s Legacy for building.
THE CONCEPT
Supercore breaks your world into 8x8 tiles. The idea is to slowly build up and gain access to your world by purchasing these tiles while surviving for as long as possible. Furthermore, all of your alternate dimensions are also split into tiles to create an even higher level of difficulty. By killing monsters and trading in full stacks of items, points are generated. For every 64 points generated, another tile may be unlocked.
THE PREPARATION PHASE
So how do we set this up? Easy.
Begin by creating a New World, Titled appropriately with Supercore or something similar.
Game Mode must be Survival. Trust me, you’ll want access to the mobGriefing rule.
Keep your structures on, World Type set to Default. Allow cheats and the bonus chest.
Generate.
THE SET UP PHASE
Now that we are generated, on the first day we set ourselves up for Supercore.
Start with the command “/gamerule mobGriefing false” to prevent Creepers from blowing up the terrain. This is important due to the limited space you have available for this challenge.
Set your game difficulty to Easy/Normal/Hard as you prefer. Modifiers are applied appropriately for point generation.
Head for your Bonus Chest. You may use anything contained within.
Look for a suitable starting tile. You’ll be looking for water, seeds, wood and stone within close proximity. Elevation certainly helps your chances of surviving. Mark it out with the torches from your Bonus Chest/Wood Planks contained within.
You may not leave this tile, you are contained within its realms. Supercore begins.
THE FIRST NIGHT
Basically as of now you have no technology tree. You start with the Bonus Chest, a Crafting Table, A wooden sword and one of either Hoe, Axe or Pickaxe.
Craft yourself a Crafting Bench and build yourself a small hovel. This is your Town Centre effectively. A crude storage facility for your chest and bench. You have Wooden Swords and Hoes unlocked and may use them to start wheat production and defend yourself. (If you have enough resources to craft them). Alternatively, in place of the Hoe, you may chose a Pickaxe or a Woodaxe and unlock the corresponding productions.
Generate yourself some points! Flick through to the Point Scoring Section and play through Supercore. Note that Hard is a x2 multiplier due to the larger number of things that can one hit you or mob you down.
POWER WORD: DEATH
If you die, you are dead (no saving throw). the world is deleted and begun anew. Alternatively, simply start the challenge again on the same world but out of sight of your last settlement. Keeps things fresh and fair.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Buildings unlock different aspects of the Technology Tree, from Gathering to Crafting everything must have a suitable building for the trade. These will be listed separately with descriptions.
Full stacks are item dependent, meaning 64 Seeds are worth one point, where 16 Eggs are also worth one point. Similarly if a stack can be crafted into increased stacks (Wood blocks into 8 Sticks) the stack is worth the number of final stacks it creates (dependent on unlocked levels of the Technology Tree). Wood blocks are therefore worth 8 points for a full stack if fully unlocked. These are scored by throwing the items away/into lava etc. to destroy them.
Slimes are rare enough to be 1point for every individual slime, opposed to one point for all of the slimes that spawn from the parent. This makes Swamps a good place to start, but please be aware that Slimes also do not swim.
The first tile after your Town Centre cannot be built upon. There is a gap between purchased tiles for buildings to further increase difficulty. Similarly, this gap increase by one for each additional building created.
POINT SCORING
This is a quick reference guide to the Point Scoring and Generation System, Key to Supercore.
Every sunrise, points are generated equal to your level in game. Therefore killing more monsters and gaining XP is profitable, especially to begin with. Also this is unmodified by difficulty.

It's coming, I swear! Just really hard to find time without a lot of background noise at mine for recording purposes. :3
