Before I made this topic I looked to see if I could find an answer to this problem but it I haven't seen it anywhere else. The wolves in one of my world is stuck in the sitting position and does not respond to right clicks. They still pivot in the position and make noises but they won't get up. this has happened to me twice and usually occurs when I log off and then back on. Has this happened to anyone else yet?
Kill it and get another one. Edit: No, scratch that. Kill your new one and don't bother with wolves at all. They are ****.
A more useful edit: Pour some water next to it. Maybe it will get up.

This is unhelpful, unlike you, I like the wolves and would like to see them fixed. Besides, if I killed mine and got a new one it would just get "bugged" again.
Happened to me and I had that bed glitch where things rape you in your sleep. Got killed as the Wold watched deviously and had to kill it, killed me in the process.

I heard a bucket of water will snap them out.
Mobs attacking you in your sleep is not a glitch, its a feature.
@Arrowave Anyways, I have never had that problem before. If you use some water it will get up though. If that doesn't work, try allowing a zombie or a skeleton to attack you, your wolf should react.
I had the same problem, I went out to the doghouse I had made to go get my wolf, and she was just sitting there. I kept right clicking, even with a bone, but she just sat there. I accidentally right clicked when trying to give her pork, and it just started jumping toward me, still sitting, and hurting me. I cowered in my house for the rest of the night.
No, I had this problem too. Check if you're logged in with the same user name (especially if you're offline) that you had when you owned the wolves. My brother logged in once when we didn't have internet up and I couldn't find out why my wolves wouldn't respond.

*@ edit: I'll try that.

I don't suggest YOU hurting yourself, though. It may get up, but it would be hostile.
.
I tried that and it did not work. Also I am not on SMP.
