after playing minecraft for maybe a half hour, my game will suddenly and randomly drop to 1-2 frames until I restart minecraft. this started happening maybe at the launch of 1.9. I know the simple answer is to just go back to 1.8, but I am one of the few people that like the combat update. I have tried optifine and it did not help me. I have a screenshot uploaded. I will be glad to answer any questions and thank you for reading
Have you only got a built-in Intel graphics card? Because that's what it is using. That's the biggest problem you have.
Do you have lots of other programs running?
Changing a few other things will definitely not hurt...
Update optifine to C4.
Allocate more memory to Minecraft. In the launcher, options, enable 'advanced settings'. Then in the (optifine) profile, turn on "JVM arguments" and change the number in "-Xmx1G". If you have 4Gb of RAM, change it to 2; if you have 8Gb or more, change it to 4.
Quick comment: More RAM is NOT good for Minecraft unless you absolutely need it which this guy doesn't because his game has barely used 1G.

okay bad news, It dropped again I reinstalled minecraft and I have the same results any other ideas would be greatly apreciated
1. If you are running windows 10 then revert to 8 or 7 because your GPU is not supported on windows 10
2. Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81500/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000)
If all fails then you might be out of luck and need an upgrade.
