so a couple days ago my computer auto updated to windows 10. and when i tried to play Minecraft it crashed and reported an error "lack up updated graphics drivers". there was a link to "fix the problem" but that did not help. before the update to windows 10 i had windows 7 and minecraft worked fine then.
thanks in advance.

And that is your solution I'm afraid. Intel does not produce drivers for that chipset for Windows 10.
I thought that might be the case. thanks for your help
Try this:

Just go back to Windows 7 since your graphics card has no place for Windows 10.
I have the same exact problem
thanks everyone for your help. i guess i will downgrade to windows 7 for now.
If you really want to stay on 10, and seeing as how your specs aren't great (so 10 is probably a big performance boost for you), I'd suggest possibly considering a fresh install of 10. OEMs do a pretty poor job of installing drivers, and like other have suggested, probably modified them, breaking them for future upgrades. The family computer at my home uses a Pentium E8500 (mid-2011) with the GMA chipset and runs Windows 10 without issue, but it was a clean install since the HDD failed on it and whatnot.
