Im having some annoying trouble. Whenever I open up Minecraft, the launcher isn't the normal widow size, its super small and when i try expanding it and making it larger, the text and everything is still super tiny! I really need some, it is super annoying!
Are you using compatibility settings for any reason with your client? What is your screen resolution? Could you please provide a screenshot of the issue (You can capture a screen shot by holding the Windows key and pressing the PrintScreen (PrtScr) key; you can then find the screenshot located in Users\<your name>\pictures\screenshots).

Just tried changing the resolution but still didnt help. My computer is the Lenovo Y50 and it's graphics card is Nvidia Geforce GTX. I also have an even more major issue. When i actually open it, the whole minecraft is super laggy and im getting like 10-20 fps. I just bought this computer yesterday but its weird because minecraft is the only thing this is happening for. Ive been able to run other games like TF2 easy, and my computer should be able to run minecraft easy as well... Im very confused.
First, make sure all of your computer's drivers are updated. Even though it is a new computer, it was probably last updated many months ago. Secondly, try messing with some of the settings in the Nvidia control panel, something is telling me that there is a setting in there that Minecraft is conflicting with. Just to be safe, try uninstalling Java and all of it's updates, then reinstalling Java 64bit.

So I have messed around in the Nvidia Control Panal and have manged to increase he performance majorly. I switched my JAVA to run on my Nvidia Possessor. I am now running a good 60 FPS which is playable, but feeling that this is a gaming laptop with 16 GB ram and an i7 core possessor, it should at least be at 100 FPS. And on top of that, my launcher is still tiny when I first open minecraft. If anyone has any more ideas about these issues, I would love to hear them. Thanks for all of your tie and effort!
Turn vsync off and increase max fps to unlimited (both located in Minecraft's video settings), this will uncap Minecraft's fps; but there is no need to go over 60fps being 60fps is the most your screen can display.

Windows 8.1, updated Java today. Also set vsync off and max fps=Unlimited, which didn't help.
The funny thing is that the game itself runs fine. It's just the launcher that's at 0.5pt font.
Check to make certain that you don't have any special compatibility settings for the Minecraft executable (right click the exe, click properties, then compatibility). If this happens for other games too, check out your graphics card settings in control panel. As well, it would be worth investigating Java in control panel, see if anything seems odd or suspicious there. Make sure that your display ratio for your graphics is set to the correct resolution for your screen size. You could also look inside game profiles on the minecraft launcher (edit profile), as there is a resolution setting in there. If all else fails, try uninstalling both Java and Minecaft (both launcher and %appdata%/.minecraft), and then re-installing them both; don't forget to save your worlds.

Here is a screenshot of my Launcher.
What type of graphics card do you have?
In edit profile, there is an option to change your resolution. Perhaps give it a try?

Not in the launcher in Edit Profile, that just sets the Minecraft game size, nothing to do with the launcher.
Go in your Control panel thing and lower the resolution, and then try

As for the tiny screen, I'll think on it.
You're welcome, I'm happy to help.
