Alright so for 3 months ago I hosted a minecraft server. One person donated 150 bucks, and the server was going for about 3 months after that, when I had to shut it down because of lack of players. Now I got sent a paypal dispute, where the buyer wrote
"I purchased a Minecraft rank on the server for $150 which was
supposed to last indefinitely. The owner of the server shut down the
server within a few months of my purchase, making it impossible for me
to use the rank I paid for."
Is it possible for me to fight this claim? I wrote clearly in my terms & conditions that the service could be cancelled at anytime, and that we do not offer returns/refunds. Please someone with knownledge in this matter, tell me how I'm supposed to fight this.
This is against the EULA. Any servers caught doing this will be taken offline.
Regarding the Paypal Dispute, Did you have any T's & C's relating to server closure? This could have been a serious issue for you if the person that donated had agreed to the Terms and Conditions of Donation.
If you still have a copy of your T's & C's, could you send them in a pastie or

Did you add anything specific? If not, you could find yourself paying that money back.

Solid terms and conditions IMO. If you can show this to paypal along with proof that they would have seen this before they donated, you would have a chance at keeping the money.
Keep in mind that paypal supports the "payers" more than the people receiving the money, so IMHO you won't be keeping the money.
