was running Minecraft 1.16.5 server on raspberry pi (32bit). the 1.17 Minecraft server complains about OpenJDK version of java and cannot install oracle java. my kids clients are updating to 1.17. Was able to start a server on windows 10 laptop but would prefer to use dedicated raspberry pi. Minecraft server won't start complaining about wanting to use java 60 runtime. 1.17 client won't connect to 1.16.5 server.
is there a workaround here to allow 1.17 to run on a raspberry pi or update to java on this variation of Linux?

Thanks for any suggestions
Just found the solution you'll need to download this version of the jdk from the following page and install it. I went with the .deb version.
https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase-jdk16-downloads.html
After downloading install it with
sudo dpkg -i jdk-16.0.1_linux-x64_bin.deb
Then run the following commands
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /usr/lib/jvm/jdk-16.0.1/bin/java 1
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/javac javac /usr/lib/jvm/jdk-16.0.1/bin/javac 1
sudo update-alternatives --config java
*choose to change your running version of java to the 16.0.1 version.
Should be able to start server now!
