Aye, I know to save playerdata seperately, however there's the issue also of players being dropped right back on the same co-ordinates, which is likely to result in death.
Is there a way to bring players back to spawn? Is there a specific part of the playerdata I can save to only save inventories and not position?
I am specifically interested in setting up a server that encourages a nomadic playstyle as a challenge for players.
Every 48 hours, I want the world to be a totally new world as if from a fresh, random new seed.
I want the only consistent storage for the players to be their inventories and endchests, making shulker shells more valuable than netherite bars.
Is there any way to make this idea work?
The inventory is stored in the world save in playerdata
Backup this folder - create a new world and put this folder back in the new world folder

How many players are there?
You can edit the files with NBTExplorer and change the position
Maybe you also can set up a commandblock to teleport players when they join
I'm unsure how many players there will be yet. Anywhere from four to twenty.
How would I set up a command block to do that?
I am not sure - just a repeating commandblock that teleport all players to a position
So that they are not ported all the time you have to work with /team
Maybe it is easier to edit these files
