I was setting up my Minecraft server for me and my friends to play on, which has been dormant for a while, and my friends came along the error message of this every time they joined:
This is a really strange instance, since previously when it was open it worked completely fine. By the way I want to clarify that it is a localhost server and that I can join it without any issues and is running 64bit Vanilla 15.2, and I also gave them the IP to join from whatsmyip.org, so I know it isn't a private IP.
These are all of the things I have tried:
-Portforward (I use Xfinity)
-Changed my IP from Dynamic to Static.
-Disabled Firewall.
-Reinstalling Java.
-Disabled Advanced Security on Xfinity.
I've been seeing similar threads pop-up asking to see results for speedtest.net, so I posted them.
Besides that, any help? Thanks in advance
Post results from speedtest.net.
I did earlier in the post, but here are the results.
I solved the issue. So apparently Xfinity will block any incoming port connections if you have advanced security enabled, so you have to go in the advanced security settings and allow the connections. I hope this helps anyone who had the same issue I had.
