So, I'm hosting a minecraft server, and I want to allocate RAM using the cmd. However, I can only connect to the server from my other computer when I open the server by double-clicking on the application. Knowing that the system probably reads this communication as from the CMD rather than the server itself, I have already-
-set a static IP
-granted full networking permissions to CMD.exe itself,
-made sure I got the IP correct by successfully connecting to the server with unallocated RAM,
-and spent two full days failing to come up with any other potential solutions.
I need to clarify that the server is completely operational by default, but launching it from the CMD is definitely what makes it not work. While waiting for replies, I'm going to replace the 32-bit Java I accidentally installed with a 64-bit one.
