Alright So i am fairly new to dedicated servers and have done alot of work on other servers which were on hosting sites but this is throwing me for a loop.
To get the basics out of the way i have set up and the server is currently running.
However i think i made a mistake or something is a bit off with the set up
So it is a centos 7 Server.
i created a user MC, and created directory for minecraft
uploaded my server to the filesystem under /home/mc/minecraft
and it runs that is all good and dandy.
While trying to set up mysql i realized it is saved under root partition which is only 20gb.
My question is as im guessing this isnt good and i should of set it up under /var ?
I moved the files from / to /var and it still runs but broke my user mc lol since i sent all the user files to /var as well. now it just shows up as /var when i su into it
