Recently bought minecraft and was slightly disappointed with the immediate support for playing with friends until I found out that I could host my own server.
Downloaded the software, followed a tutorial on youtube and the first run of the .exe did not add the extra files to the folder. After multiple deletions and reinstalls, I somehow got the app to run properly and proceeded to run the server. When I did boot up the server, the little white console came up and the world loaded but I saw this error:
[19:43:50 ERROR]: Exception handling console input

Don't know what it means but it's an error apparently. I guess thats why I'm here.
Might be related to the server not reaching a memory usage of over 250mb (says that theres 0% memory available at a value close to that (it might be more like 247 or something)).
My run bat is java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.1.14.4.jar
With all that, I got one of my friends to join the server but they could not. If the server loads to 100% I can join it myself.

Hope theres a fix
1. Post the entire server log using paste.ubuntu.com.
2. Did you portforward properly?
https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/Vfzwqm3phM/
What is portfowarding?
I have seen it in tutorials on YouTube and have not done it at all
Also redownloaded java so it was 64-bit (better operating now, ram increases when i increase it but not always by that amount)
Nothing out of ordinary in your log, your server is up and running.
If you want people from outside your network to join your server you need to portforward properly.
still no one out of my network can join my server and i have portfowarded following a tutorial by the breakdown
Completely disable your firewall and try again.
