i have created a mc 1.14.1 server not so long time ago and none of my friends are able to join it , they either get "Failed to connect to the server" or "Connection Lost"
YES . i did the portforwarding thing on port 25565 and i am using a static ip btw , everything is done correctly and FIREWALL is off aswell (if you were to ask)
at first i thought they had the problem with their clients
but then i tried to log into the server with my public ip and boom i had the same errors aswell (i used to log in with my local ip before)
I AM SO TIRED , I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING WRONG!!
Leave the server IP setting blank. And trying to connect with your public IP won't work whatsoever. If your friends can't connect then the issue is with your portforwarding and/or firewall/antivirus.
i uninstalled hamachi (which i totally forgot about) and now my friends are able to join for couple of seconds (which is a good thing ) but still they lose connection
also i sometimes get this message from my server :
[22:03:02] [Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 2191ms or 43 ticks behind

@Tails1 i can give you picture of my port forwarding :
and PORT 25565 is OPEN

Which error message do they get?
they get connection lost now

also i sometimes get this message from my server :
[22:03:02] [Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 2191ms or 43 ticks behind
so this error is unsolvable right ?
this really became such a pain in the ass for me
What does it say on https://www.canyouseeme.org
when you run the server and put your public IP there?
Error: I could not see your service on 156.200.249.170 on port (25565)
Reason: Connection refused
although it says it's open when using a program called "simple port tester".
NOTE : i have created a CS source server short time ago and did the same port forwarding settings and my friends could join and we played for HOURS
edit :
i have talked to my ISP and They told me that they NEVER restrict any port
And does your cs server still work?
ofcourse it does ,
Completely disable your firewall and try again.
man i swear both my firewall and local firewall (the one in the router settings) are off.
Which antivirus are you using?
the normal windows defender which comes with windows 10
