Hey, so i'm about as technologically inept as most old people, but i'm the only one of my friend group with a good enough computer. When I execute the server.jar, It works just fine the first time. I can connect to it and it works fine. But if I close it and open it again, it always stops at that last line of "Preparing star region. . .", and then slowly has less and less free memory as time goes on. It never opens the server the second time for some reason.
I've tried messing with .bat files and the server properties to no avail, probably not even doing them properly anyway.. Bizarrely, deleting the "World" folder will let it work. So maybe the problem lies there somewhere?
Im going to assume you dont want the entirety of what is in the "logs " folder because that is 7 different files of text. Dont even know what the startup script would be.
Running a server requires computer and network knowledge. If you lack that, a paid solution like a dedicated server host or minecraft realms is the better choice.

Post the contents of your startup script and the entire server log using paste.ubuntu.com.
