Both players are using Macs, (Macbook Air and Macbook running most recent versions of MAC OS) so none of this will be solved through windows based solutions.
My router is an Apple Airport Express Router.
Here's the problem:
Whenever one of us hosts a LAN server, the other cannot connect to it. Three things are happening that I am noticing. The LAN server will not show up at all, I cannot connect to the server through LOCAL HOST, and I can only connect through IPv4 with one our Macs connecting to it, if we try using her mac, it wont work that way. Another interesting note is that when our friend came over (He was using WINDOWS) He had no issue with both seeing the server and connecting to it, so it seems the issue is related to MAC on MAC.
Notes to add:
-I tried running with both macs having FIREWALL disabled, no results, same thing happening.
-Restarting things as needed, no results.
-Double checked OS versions, and MC versions, all the same.
-Like I mentioned, her mac can connect to my MAC using IPv4 when I am hosting, but I cannot do the same when she is the one hosting.
-Added a picture of what happens when I try to connect via LOCAL HOST.
Hope some people have some useful info here, this has been going on since about 1.6 or 1.7.
