My Minecraft servers used to work, now they don't. I was running my servers on windows 8.1 and upgraded to windows 10 (no comments about the fact that I'm running servers on windows 10 pls) and on my network using the IPv4, IPv6, and Subdomains I can connect to my server. anyone not on my network that tries to use IPv6 or Subdomain just get an "Unknown Host" Error, along with server test sites and canyouseeme.org. the port forwarding on my router hasn't changed since Windows 8.1 when the servers were working. pls help
I solved this issue with a new modem, but now the problem is weirder. the server address is play.themcvanilla.com, and if you type it into this, https://dinnerbone.com/minecraft/tools/status/ it says the server is online, and I can connect with the IPv4, IPv6, and Subdomain addresses. But if someone outside my network tries to join the server, it says "timed out" and one person got all the way to "loading terrain" before "Disconnecting" oh, right some people got the error "Disconnected"
Ok, I solved this by logging into my router and making my QoS Limit 100Mbps. Before it was limiting my upload speed to 256Kbps, so I made it 100Mbps and it works fine.
