I'm experiencing a weird issue I can't seem to figure out why is happening.
I'm using RCON to connect to my Minecraft server, after a lot of back and forth messing with my setup, then I created a new server, setup Spigot from scratch and simply copied the old world folder into the new server.
Everything is working fine and as expected, except RCON. All RCON commands are sent and executed, but i'm not getting the response back, whatever command I send, then the RCON response is empty.
Here's the odd part, after a lot of debugging, then I realised that it's the world folder itself causing the issue. If i remove the world folder and start the server, letting the server re-regenerate the world, everything works as expected. If i remove the new world folder and put the old world folder back, it doesn't work anymore.
I have tried to delete every single file inside the world folder except the region and data folders, yet, the issue persists, all RCON commands are executed successfully but I'm not getting a response, the response is always empty.
Anyone have a clue what might be going on here? I suspect something is corrupt in the world folder, but the server and world is working as should with no errors in console or elsewhere. I also suspected file permission issues after the move, but that doesn't seem to be the case either.
Most importantly, I can't for life understand why the world folder would affect RCON and how they are related at all.
Odd issue, but after deleting every single file in the world folder except the folders "data" and "region", then it seems to have gotten back to normal..
Still really got no clue what's happened or might be causing the issue.
Update: For those wondering, and might have this problem in the future, one of my admins had disabled the gamerule `sendCommandFeedback` without my knowledge, with that disabled, RCON won't get a response.
