I manage to set everything up and such to where if I click the forge executable jar file it runs; however clicking it to run it does not allow me to have enough ram to run the mods I want on it. I made several attempts to have the startserver.bat file to run the forge server. I could only make it run the default vanilla server that I used to get the basic files in. I have searched several places for a solution, which I got the "add PAUSE" to the code to allow me to see the issue.
It gives me the error: unable to access jarfile forge, and I could not find anyone who uses that to run a modded server. Any information I did find was like add cd to the bat, but really there were no instructions and I do not understand what that could mean. Frankly, I am very new to coding and modding of such program like Minecraft.
The folder is on my desktop so from what I gathered, it is bad to have it on there because it doesn't access properly??
I have enough ram - 8Gs
I have tried change the name in the bat to match, change the name of the forge to match, having .jar in the bat as well as not having it. it just results in the server not opening through the bat, so I can have more ram for it.
Okay, so i manage to fix the issue with not being able to use the run.bat file with my forge to get more ram by making the line in the run file java -Xmx1G -Xms1G -jar "C:\Users\gaming\Desktop\new whales\forge.jar" nogui ; however, i can only give it 1g of ram. I really need more for the amount of the mods i have added.
Thus i am getting the "Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 2038ms behind, skipping 40 tick(s)" warning in the messages because i dont have enough ram for it.
I would like a better solution to this issue, i really need to have at least 2g for this server. Thank you
How do I use a 64 bit Java? like I don't understand what that even means. Also, I get the error when moving in the server " [username] is moving too quickly"
Thank you both for the help. That completely fixed everything after I downloaded the Java 64. I added another GB which in turn also fixed the moving too quickly issue as well since the server wasn't able to run properly on 1gb.

C:\Users\gaming\Desktop\new whales>java -Xmx2G -Xms2G -jar forge -o true
Error: Unable to access jarfile forge
If you do tell me to do some like add something or whatever, I would deeply love it if you explain it to my simple dumb mind. thank you

This is the download link to 64-bit java \/

Now if you can't run it it's because you have a 32-bit computer, and you'll always have problems. The only fix is an upgrade.
Edit: The "[username] is moving too quickly" message is because of tick lag on the server.

My server works perfectly!!
