I have a Raspberry Pi 2 B+. I had Raspbian Lite on Berryboot installed and I had a Spigot Minecraft server on it. It would take 5-15 minutes to load (which to me is normal on a Raspberry Pi.) Later I installed Mate desktop environment which messed everything up and I kept having to "fsck" the disk. Later, I finally decided to install Ubuntu Server on Berryboot and do the Minecraft server stuff there. Now, it takes an hour just to get up to 20% overworld loading. (It's funny how people complain about 5 minute loading times sometimes.)

How can I make it not take so long?
Server version: Spigot 1.12.1 build 1387
I used the Oracle Java instead of OpenJRE.
To do this on an Ubuntu system, type:
If you want to install Java 9, ignore the last line, but type in:
It performs better than OpenJRE.
