Hey guys so I currently have a minecraft server, that's has been port forwarded and everything works fine. I was wondering though, if i changed the jar file from normal minecraft over to something like cb or spigot, would that mess up the port forwarding of the current server? Like would I be able to change the jar files and have everything stay the same? Thanks!
You should be able to change the jar file without it changing your port forwarding settings. The only thing that will mess with it is if you change it yourself.
When you say "it" are you referring to the port forwarding settings? And then to change the jar, could i just drag the old jar file out, drop the new one in?

Let me rephrase that: You should be able to change the jar file without the jar file touching your port forward settings.
Yes. You could have two jar files in there, but make sure you run the correct one.
