Hello. I use a Xfinity wifi router, and port forwarding isn't working for me.
Please don't say just use something that will host it for you, because I don't want to be dependent on donations and I figure I will just use NoIP to do all of the stuff I will need to do, just free. I know it is possible because I have a friend who did do it. So basically the logistics of the port that I opened is this:
Advanced > Port Forwarding
Manage external access to specific ports on your network
Port Forwarding:Enable Disable
(Currently, Enable is selected)
Port Forwarding Add Service
Service Name Type Start Port End Port Server IPv4 Server IPv6 Active
(The video I watched said that this should just be 0s)
My IP in the server.properties is 10.0.0.6. When I set it to nothing and people use my IP address, it still doesn't work. I did not forget :25565, they just couldn't join. Please help because without it I will not be able to run a server because I absolutely refuse to use a hosting site. Oh, and localhost does work when I have nothing in the IP part of the server.properties IP:25565 works, but when I have 10.0.0.6 in it, 10.0.0.6:25565 works for me but not anyone else. I am testing this on the same network because I can't without. Thanks, woofarf.
