so I have run a server for almost a month now, I'm not a total noob so I did my port forwarding and such myself. The problem comes when I run the server, most likely what is happening is that my cpu cannot handle running the server and minecraft. I don't know what I need to post here, any help will be beneficial
not quite sure which configurations your talking about, quite a lot of them, I can post anything that you need, I just don't know what I need to supply for your help
i maean type of server jar, mc version, your java arguments plugins/mods if any etc aswell any other optimizations you have made and paste bins of your logs and any crash reports can also help as well
try lowering your ram as too much will cause issues and have you tried using a optimised server jar like paper, sponge or spigot and you could try adding some java arguments to your start up script to help with your java garbage collection
I would like to keep the server as vanilla as possible, planning on creating many different farms and i have a goal to create a world similar to hermitcraft IV, I am new to these other jar types, I will try sponge first, and what java arguments are you talking about for the garbage collection
not sure where you got using mods or forge from as i only suggested vanilla server jars but as for your java arguments then that is trial and error for your hardware and server to find whats best but once you find what works best it makes a lot of difference.
using the same args that you use in your client is often a good start
I will now test the server to see if I get the same error
P.S. I am also running minecraft on this computer in order to connect to the server, I have seen that this can be an issue, but I get the same error when someone else logs in from a different computer :/
i would set your min ram about 512mb and monitor your ram usage a good rule I find is to have about 1gb free ram and if you start having less free ram then up your max ram and if you are using minecraft on same machine then try the java arguments you use in your client for your server but balance out your cpu cores.
Also sponge and spigot have built in profiling to create a timmings report so you can use that to help find where your server is lagging

how have you got your server configured?

I have:
Windows 10 pro 64 bit
32 gigs of Ram
plenty of storage space on a solid state drive
Intel Core i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz
i maean type of server jar, mc version, your java arguments plugins/mods if any etc aswell any other optimizations you have made and paste bins of your logs and any crash reports can also help as well
Server Jar is: minecraft_server.1.11.2.jar
Arguments:
java -Xmx12G -Xms8G -jar minecraft_server.1.11.2.jar -o true -d64
pause
No mods/Plugins
I do not know what a paste bin is, I have no crash reports (that I see)
thanks for the help, and sorry for the long break in communication

I have now set up Sponge, and reread your comment (I see my mistake assumptions)
my new argument:
java -Xmx8G -Xms4G -jar spongevanilla-1.11.2-6.0.0-BETA-196.jar
I will now test the server to see if I get the same error

thank you so much, the server is running well, I am sure I'll be back with more of my self created issues, but I must say thank you and bravo
