The high MS is so frustrating, if I destroy a block it will reappear like 5 times. I don't know what to do I have tried a lot of different things but it doesn't change the lag much. If I eat food I can eat for like 60 secs before finished.
I think you are confused. His RAM settings are fine - it's Xms that shouldn't be specified larger than Xmx, not vice versa. Xmx is maximum heap size, Xms is initial heap size.
No i've set Xmx larger than Xms and it crashed my server. Tried 32-bit and 64-bit. same results. Hes also using this
Windows 7 (x86) version 6.1 which means 1500 is his ram limit. Usually 32bit pcs allow 1-4 gigs usable and he might be using all of it so when the pc needs ram it takes the allocated amount from the game which causes it to crash. this is why i recommend Xmx smaller or same as Xms due to this error. Getting x64 Java and Operating system will fix this problem because they support more that 4GB of ram. That was a mouthful
If you try to run with an Xmx smaller than Xms, it will not work. You'll get an error about the initial heap size cannot be larger than the max. Which is logical; doing -Xmx512m -Xms1024m is like trying to pour two liters of milk into a one liter container.

The high MS is so frustrating, if I destroy a block it will reappear like 5 times. I don't know what to do I have tried a lot of different things but it doesn't change the lag much. If I eat food I can eat for like 60 secs before finished.

-Xmx can't be over -Xms. Leave -Xmx as 512 or set it to 1024. Do not set it over the -Xms ram amount.
I think you are confused. His RAM settings are fine - it's Xms that shouldn't be specified larger than Xmx, not vice versa. Xmx is maximum heap size, Xms is initial heap size.
No i've set Xmx larger than Xms and it crashed my server. Tried 32-bit and 64-bit. same results. Hes also using this
Windows 7 (x86) version 6.1 which means 1500 is his ram limit. Usually 32bit pcs allow 1-4 gigs usable and he might be using all of it so when the pc needs ram it takes the allocated amount from the game which causes it to crash. this is why i recommend Xmx smaller or same as Xms due to this error. Getting x64 Java and Operating system will fix this problem because they support more that 4GB of ram. That was a mouthful
If you try to run with an Xmx smaller than Xms, it will not work. You'll get an error about the initial heap size cannot be larger than the max. Which is logical; doing -Xmx512m -Xms1024m is like trying to pour two liters of milk into a one liter container.
