Now.. if you don't know the server's IP info, fire up Minecraft first then get that and write it down. Then try hitting start, type %appdata% and hit enter. It should open the roaming folder. Right click the .minecraft folder and choose rename. Name it like .minecraft-original and hit enter. Now fire up Minecraft. You'll have to log back in, then hit play and it'll download some stuff. When it gets in the game, go to multiplayer and direct connect (no need to add a new record yet) and put in the IP. See if that works.
I keep on getting a message like the title, but I restart, delete and download again, etc. and it still pops up!

Is it a whitelisted server? if so, then that means you are not on the list, that's why you can't connect.
that message also pops up when trying to connect to premium servers with a cracked account.

I checked and the server I connected to isn't whitelisted.
I also have an uncracked account.
Then I got no Idea of what's happening to you
