I've been trying to make a server work for my friends and I for several hours to no avail. As far as I'm aware, I port forwarded correctly, but the 25565 port is unable to be connected to with statements like "connection timed out" or "port closed" being reiterated every time I try to fix it.
I have watched several videos and have followed all the instructions. The server works, and I run it with the BAT file. I am able to connect to my own server, but my friends cannot connect through my public IP.
My setup is as follows, if it helps:
I have my PC (i7-4790k w/ GTX 980 Ti and 16GB RAM) is connected through ethernet to my personal router, a Belkin N600, which is then connected to my apartment's Modem/Router, a Motorola Arris. I have forwarded the 25565 port on both routers, but my friends are still unable to connect. Any and all help is much appreciated. Thank you.
To clarify further, it is the Motorola Arris SURFboard SBG6580, and my roommate's have used it as a router since before I moved in. When running the server, canyouseeme.org says, "I could not see your service on 70.187.176.219 on port (25565)." I have tried port forwarding several times, as well as reserving a specific IP for my computer to keep it as a static IP. I have also included the inbound rule to allow the 25565 port to come through. I am unsure of what the problem is at this point, besides possibly port forwarding wrong. Attached below is the ports forwarded through my Belkin router.
Here's the firewall inbound rule. I only have Windows firewall, as well, and am not in possession of a anti-virus program. It is set to allow the connection, and it is specified to the Domain, Private, and Public profiles.
