So basically I want to use KCauldron. Great, so I installed everything via the BUNDLE option of the two that they provide, the other being the KBootStrap which does not work. So I used the bundle, Extracted all the files into a folder, used this command line to launch it
When I launched it everything worked fine! Loaded up all the files and folders and was happy to see a brand new PLUGINS folder there. Here's the part where things go off and things always do as we know. When I added all my mods and then loaded it up I got the fatal message java.lang.OutOfMemory error.
Ahhhh!
Ok, I think to myself, I'll just add -Xmx4096m to the command line arguments in my launcher.bat
Um, no sorry you cant do that, Ill go ahead and close myself for you right away so you have no time to see if there even was a message. Great, so then I try this command argument instead
-XX:MaxPermSize=4096m
Um, no sorry you cant do that, Ill go ahead and tell you that we don't SUPPORT that command in Java 8.0. Great, well I need Java 8 to run one of my 100 mods so um can we please blast whoever thought to remove that into outer space and bring back the command?
Anyways, I need your guys' help (or girls) to fix this problem. The developer at KCauldron labeled it a Non-KCauldron issue which makes sense. So if maybe you could feed me the proper command line argument and I'll be good to go!
After putting a pause in the arguements I was able to see what the console was saying: "
Java Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Well then I thought to myself, well great of course thats the problem when I have 16GB of RAM, so then I thought to myself again! Well the only way this could be a problem is if I installed the 32 bit version of Java by accident instead of the 64 bit version, and sure enough when I uninstalled the thought-to-be 32 bit version and manally installed the 64 bit I was able to add more RAM with -Xmx4096M

Gotha. Perhaps something was royally messed up in the registry. Its easer to just reinstall it if that was the case anyway
