I recently decided to start playing Pixelmon on a server that goes by the name of mc.pokeslam.com, and even loved it so much I decided to donate 15$ to it. However, there seems to be a server-wide bug going on that a lot of players are getting a message that looks like the image attached.
I've tried everything: restarting my game, allocating more ram, restarting my computer, reinstalling basically everything, but the problem seems to be serverside for this one. Also, when I check that the server is online, it says (using the Dinerbone) that it is online. However, I was speaking with someone else last night that also avidly plays on this server and cannot get on.
Please help! My wifi is probably as strong as it can get, and my computer processing power is strong enough to run this game. I can connect to other servers within a matter of seconds, but with this SPECIFIC server, it takes around 30-45 seconds in the Logging in... screen right before I get "Timed Out". What makes it worse is that the owners of the server have no idea what the problem is either, and it's only this one specific Pixelmon server.
I'm hoping with this post that someone with a lot of minecraft server wisdom can give me something to suggest. They already have server restarts every 3 hours, but right now they're not helping at all. What should I do? This bug is affecting how a lot of players play the game, and it's only this one specific server that's having these problems.
Any suggestions anyone? It's a serverside problem, not a clientside one.
Yes, I understand that, but for the sake of them not wanting to do their own research, I feel as if I have to take action. If I were to find out the problem exactly, I could let the server owners know via their website, and the problem could be resolved faster that it is right now.
Could be one of your local Mojang services, (Take a look here).
Method 1:
Try asking the Owners of the server to Either, Backup all data (Everything but the Server JAR) and reset the server (Basically delete it). And then have them place the backed up data into the new server folder and download the Jar file again. Could be a corrupt jar file (For any reason eg. Server Crash)
Method 2:
If that does not work try getting them to downgrade or upgrade the Jar file (eg. go from 1.7.2-1.7.10, 1.7.2-1.8, ANY VERSION-ANY VERSION. That could fix it.
Method 3:
Basically the same as Method 2 but your downgrading or upgrading the MOD.
Method 4:
Restart the server all together (And get the server owners to compensate all donaters with an equivalent IN-GAME Rank/Prize/Item) with or find out/rule out any plugin or mod that is causing the problem (Plugins due to Spigot Cross Forge server platforms eg. Sponge {If they use one of course})
Those are the only possible fixes I could come up with.

Thank you! I will make sure to bring this to the attention of the server owners! I'll let you know if anything changes!
Ok, so I'm not sure if this is going to help with understanding the situation more, but even when I try and log onto the server with MineChat, it gives me an error message of "Disconnected Protocol error - Timeout reading from stream". Does that help at all?
You can't really do anything... When it appears "Timed out" it means that you couldn't reach the server in a amount of attempts. If you manage to enter all servers except this one the problem is definitely on the server side. There is nothing I can help you with because I have no logs or information on the server... Good luck tho. And you better hope those 15$ weren't for nothing.

If it's a server problem, unless you are running the server, there's nothing you can do about it. The people who run the server need to get it fixed.

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.

Also ask them if they moved Server locations or host.
