Hey! So my friends and I have recently started to play Minecraft together. I made a server yesterday, 1.7.10, vanilla with 5 slots using Hamachi and it worked fine! But today, I made a 1.9.2 vanilla server using port forwarding with 8 slots, and it kept crashing! I'm using a 4-year old laptop, so that might explain why. I'm 99% sure it's crashing due to too many players/too much stuff going on, so I've been looking into some MC server hosting sites to pay for a server.
I found one called Apex Minecraft Hosting, and it has pretty fair pricing IMO. But I want to know which package I should buy...
The server I want is just going to have around 7 people on it @any given time and it's going to be a straight 100% vanilla server. There are two options I'm considering worth buying...
Grass: 512MB of RAM, 10 slots and vanilla only for $3.99.
Stone: 1GB of RAM, 24 slots and all versions for ~$5.99-$7.99.
Which one do you think is more worth it? Do you think any of the other pricing plans are better? Should I even bother with either? And if so, any other good alternatives?

Thanks!
I would suggest you go with the stone as it has two times the ram for about two more dollars. It would also give you better performance.
How much do you think I'd need?
