No matter what I do I cannot set the world spawn for new players. I've removed all plugins to start from scratch and test it and even with a stripped down server I still cannot set the world spawn. I'm running Spigot 1.8.8, with no plugins. If I install Essentials, I can do /setspawn so that when players die or do the command /spawn they will then spawn at the intended world spawn. However, even if I do /setworldspawn, all new players spawn in the middle of an ocean in the middle of the world, NOT the location where I did /setworldspawn.
I even tried several plugins designed to assist with this, such as HomeSetSpawn, and others - at least three others - that were supposed to set the first player spawn. But they don't work.
Get this though - the world's level.dat also has the correct world spawn coordinates, the one that I set - where if they die or use /spawn they'll go to. But even the level.dat doesn't get recognized when someone joins the server for the first time, they still spawn in the middle of the freakin ocean.
Any and all help is appreciated as I'm stuck big time.
