I run two home-hosted servers on a dedicated computer for running them on. One is a Bukkit server, the other is a Vanilla, both are 1.8.8. Players that I have whitelisted on do not experience any problems relating to lag, they have full connection to my server without any block lag or anything. However, when I play on my server, I can only stay connected for about 10-20 seconds without getting disconnected, I have really bad block lag, and it's pretty unplayable. While I'm having my lag, the others online are still perfectly fine. On the player list, it usually shows me with about 1-3 bars with others having around 3-5 bars.
Is this some sort of problem that has to do with me being on the same network as my server or something? Note that I connect using my external IP address rather than the internal IP address of my computer from my network (192.168.1.*)
No no no there isn't a bandwidth problem. Also, both servers can be on at the same time without problems. It's just me trying to connect to my own server in my own network. Also, other devices are not a problem at all.
(Note: this actually kind of applies to other devices on my network other than my Minecraft server. For example, I can barely use the Xbox One streaming in the Windows 10 Xbox app from my laptop, but say, my dad's computer can run it just fine without it getting disconnected.
Maybe it's my physical position in my house that's the problem? I'm on the second floor compared to the basement where the router/server/Xbox One are.

I feel like they are using up you're bandwidth and limiting connection to you're computer
mabey try only running the bukkit one
also try disabling wifi on any other devices in the house
