So I'm running a private modded Minecraft server (SkyFactory) and I was lagging a lot. Even connecting to it locally. I tried restarting the server and it didn't help. My friend couldn't connect at all and accessing inventories and the like on my end was horrendously slow. In my process manager, I noticed the server was constantly taking up 100% of a CPU core at any point in time, even after the restart. Interestingly, after I reconnected to the internet, the lag was gone and the server stopped taking up all that CPU. Does anyone know why something like this could be caused and how I could prevent it in the future?
