Having a problem that if I try connecting to a Win8.1 box hosting the LAN, using a Win10 box, I receive an error "Invalid Session".
If I flip the scenario and then host the LAN on the Win10 box then try connecting to it using the Win8.1 box, it just sits at "Connecting to Server".
I have never had an issue "seeing" the hosted game on the client end, only when trying to connect to it.
I have tried the following on both the hosted and client end:
- launching older versions (but matching);
- connect using "Direct Connect";
- disabled the firewall entirely;
- reinstalled the game;
- reinstalled java;
- create a new windows profile;
- launching the game in compatibility mode (Win7 and 8 modes);
- launching the game as an administrator;
However, if I use a Win8.1 box as the host and another Win8.1 box as a client, I'm able to connect successfully.
Has anyone else run into this issue with a Windows 10 (Build 10166) machine? All other aspects of the game seems to run fine on Windows 10, just this hiccup with the LAN feature I've run into thus far.
I assume it's possibly just some form of incompatibility right now, maybe within Java itself, but was curious if anyone else has run into this, or has reproduced a similar issue and resolved it in some sneaky way...

Thanks!
Same issue here, has anyone else had a problem or found a fix?
Minecraft hosting and port forwarding does not currently support Windows 10 Builds.
This will get updated though and eventually it will work:

OMG you do not want that.....it's free for a reason
