I am hosting a Minecraft server for my friends and me to play on. I can connect to it through "localhost" just fine, but when I try to connect through my public IP, I get this error:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: no further information:
I know I port forwarded correctly because I can see the "message of the day" in the server list menu (If I didn't it would say "Can't connect to server").
Important info
OS: Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10130
ISP: AT&T (AT&T U-verse)

Things I've tried
Allowing TCP and UDP inbound/outbound exceptions through Windows firewall for 25565
Changing port to 25566

Thank you for your help!
Thank you! I asked a friend to connect to my server with the IP and it worked!
