Does that means you are not gonna teach me how to use uTorrent to connect people to my server?
No using uTorrent is not smart at all for reasons I have stated before. Unless you have a complete disregard for viruses that will likely make it past an antivirus unless you have a good scanner. Also you can very easily get into trouble with this software as it is mainly used for piracy. USE HAMACHI OR PORTFORWARD! You will keep your personal information safe and keep you out of law trouble.
Come on man, we are on the same side here, teach me.
we are NOT on the same side. Unless you aren't reading my username and you think I am the guy who created this thread. I have no idea how to use uTorrent because I am not a child with complete disregard for law and personal safety. No matter how awesome you think you are, downloading this software is not reccomended as it will likely put trojans on your computer which will likely steal personal information such as logged passwords, bank accounts, where you live (if that is logged somewhere). Now let it go, this thread should have stopped being commented on when JohnMadden111 provided us with a video on how to use Hamachi. Use that program if you don't want to portforward. Also you are OBVIOUSLY not reading my previous posts. That or you are a toddler who doesn't know what any of what I have said means.
Perhaps you should look up some youtube tutorials but now I'm curious how many people here are crazy enough to download uTorrent. Some solutions may be to make sure they are connecting to the correct IP address. Also they should have uTorrent as well so that they can connect. This hasn't happened to me, personally, in a long time but your firewall may be causing an issue. However, disabling your firewall with something as sketchy as uTorrent might not be a good idea.
You do seem to have complete knowledge of it, this is your quote here. So teach me please.

You do seem to be a child who doesnt even know what are you talking about. uTorrent is a software that allows you to download material over peer-to-peer conceptual networking system, and even some fancy legal software is distributed that way, clean , no viruses at all. Asides of being fast, lightwaight, and very reliable software, uTorrent is completly free.

But nevertheless i said i am not the smartest guy in the world, so if you know how to use it to create tunneling prottocol simmilar that Hamachi does, and you want to claim that you do know what you are talking about, please teach me. There are some people having issues with their ISP blocking their ports so you would be helping them too.
Its not illegal, but also you can look up a a tutorial on how to join. Its quite simple also by just typing in the ip and a password if you set one.
You are right. Owning this program is not illegal (if you are referring to uTorrent) However, it is extremely sketchy and is commonly used to pirate software.

Ack, just google it as I will never convince you that this is a bad program. Oh and just some advice don't download it, or anything, from softonic.
I know what it is but there is much more reliable programs for port forwarding. I personaly like it for downloads because I can throdle the download speed. Besides it is way better to port forward your server rather than use an outside program, and If you worried about people joining it you can put on a whitelist
Any torrent down loader is "sketchy" in my opinion. torrent is a type of file that can be easily transferred over a server that a client like uTorrent can connect to and download from. These files are designed to be very large and still easily downloadable (which is where piracy comes in to a common part of this program). Anything that can easily do something illegal is automatically "sketchy" in my mind. If you look up "torrent" you will likely find something about piracy. Notice that I have never used this program or any torrent program as I am not confident that they are legitimate no matter how much they, or other people, say they are. I see you have already downloaded it and good for you for getting it from a legitimate site, which I can't imagine is easy nowadays. Piracy is my big picture here as it is what torrent files are typically used for. Now uTorrent can be used legitimately but nearly everyone will automatically assume the worst about... nearly anything. One last thing; what the heck is Debian Distribution because I had to go look it up and all I can find is that it's an OS. So another question now; have you ever downloaded a movie or something else for free using uTorrent that you would usually pay for? Because if you have you have done something illegal called piracy, regardless of the country you live in. Ever seen or heard of the commercial "you would steal a __ but you would pirate a movie" well doing just that thing is what torrent programs are famous for.
One last thing that I will edit in here is that torrents are usually bundled with some sort of virus. Be it trojan or going as bad as a windropper.

Define sketchy in relation uTorrent.... You pretty much did it.
So me downloading Debian is ... Sketchy?
Well if by Debian you mean the OS then not necessarily, unless it is packaged with viruses which is very well could be depending where you get the download. Debian the OS is composed of free open source software. But I bet there is a smarter place to download it from than torrents. If you would normally have to pay for Debian and you are downloading it for free and circumventing paying for it then yes as that is called piracy.

I have been using uTorrent for a decade now, never had a single problem with it. So convince me that it is a bad program or at learn what it is.
