I want to make a forge modded server which can use plugins like world guard and ect... So my builds don't get griefed and ect...

that being said, there is a new thing called sponge, which seems as a alternative.

now you should probably wait for forge 1.7.10 mods to update before going and creating a server. But your choice I guess

EDIT: just found out that sponge is an API for plugins to work with forge. This means that there will be sponge-only plugins, and bukkit plugins will not work. My bad! Also no download yet :l so probably have to do a vanilla server with forge. I'm sure there is some mod out there that works like WorldGuard :V

I Tried sponge... But there is no grief prevention sponge plugin. So therefore I cant use that. One question... How do other servers like pixelmon servers make an anti grief pixelmon server in 1.8?

nm thx i am going to use sponge. But i found a mod called Land Defender. Its great!

By the way, there's WorldEdit available for forge http://minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods/225608-worldedit Maybe one day there will be WorldGuard too...

Thx everyone for the help. The pixelmon server is just running on Sponge,Landdefenders,WorldEdit,and Sponge mods. Works Great!

Maybe you can use Pore (A Bukkit-Sponge bridge by Caeseif). It is a Lapis Blue project.

To use this sponge-plugin, you have to set up a Minecraft Forge Server and install SpongeForge(Sponge) on it.

Than you have to drag Pore into the "mods" folder of your server.

Important: Sponge-Servers can not be started by double clicking on the" Minecraftforge-universal-file".

You have to start them with a batch file wich includes:

java -Xmx1024M -jar [name of forge jar file].jar -o true
PAUSE

Than there will be a "bukkit-plugins" folder. You can drag bukkit plugins in here.

Sadly, pore is not working so well until now. But i´m sure that those problems will be fixed soon!

Pore can be downloaded at the CI job (Jenkins) Website.

You should always download the latest build!
