Ever since 1.8.4 (not sure, all I know is it has been happening for a while), I haven't been able to join 1.7.x servers. Everytime, it crashes right after it stops saying "Connecting to server.." It happens on any 1.7.x server and everytime, it crashes. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what fixed it if it was resolved? If not, is there any way to fix this issue?
EDIT: I've added a crash report when trying to connect.
