My server worked for the longest time yet, roughly 3 months... Then last week it started giving me this warning: "Failed to mark a promise as success because it is done already." I didn't even know that a program could make a promise, let alone mark it as successful and not know it! It would also lag around every three seconds, which coincided with when the error was announced in the log.
A screenshot is included for your convenience.
Does anyone have any suggestions? It is running Pixelmon 4.0.5.
No luck. I upgraded to Forge 1398 and it's still doing it's promise thing.
Well, it's either upgrade Netty, or wait for Mojang to fix it, because they caused it. Apparently one of the other solutions is to use the installer for Pixelmon, rather than swapping the universal JARs in and out, so you could try that, but if that doesn't work, you're outta luck.
Hi everyone!

Thanks in advance!
This is apparently fixed in newer Forge versions, but it's an issue on Mojang's end. See: https://github.com/MinecraftForge/MinecraftForge/issues/1848#issuecomment-98852582
You can remedy it by updating Netty, or using a newer Forge build. Using a newer Forge build is probably the better option for you.
I'll try it and get back to you.

Sorry for not replying sooner. My Pixelmon launcher just stopped working on the same day that my server stopped, but I think that it is a Java error.
To fix the Forge client issue, I'd suggest a reinstall. If you firmly believe it's Java, reinstall with the latest version.
Again though, this issue is mainly related to Mojang's oversights.
Do I need to use Jave with the Pixelmon Launcher?
