My server is a OVH server hosted in Quebec, Canada and we are living in in Quebec lol
Processor: ADM Opteron(tm) Processor 6386 SE 2.80 GHZ
RAM: 4GB
x64
Unlimited bandwidth
at first look, i was sure it was the 2.80GHz who is not enough (like you see in the server: 41% free) but with all my friends online, its the same thing (40% free)... i don't think its the issue. You know how to boost the server? And i need to upgrade it? If yes, i can! i don't want to upgrade for nothing :$
Thank you for your help and sorry for my bad english
Everything is OK.
You know if we need to edit something after the whole installation about the RAM?
I've see on few threads you can give more RAM to the server with a .bat file. How much ram the server use by default?
It's necessary to do this for a lag free server?
I've see on a site:
By default, your server runs with about 100 MB of RAM,
It is true? if yes, the lags are maybe due to this no?
Ram does not affect lag as long as you have at least 25% free ram on avaerage you should be fine.
To keep your server lag free as possibule you need to tell java what it is running on (ie type of cpu, how many cores/threads etc) via your java args in the start up script
What current software are you running on the server? Default Minecraft, Bukkit, etc.. If any try to switch over to Spigot as it gives a performance increase out of the package.
If i use Spigot, the people will can login to the server with the original minecraft launcher? like a default MC server? Thank you :]
Yes, if you use Spigot they can use the original launcher to login. Its a normal minecraft server that is optimized and can even install plugins into it, if you wish so.
Heyy guys!!
I have search during 4 hours a lot of thread on thousands forums for find a solution... for find why my Minecraft server is buggy.
