I switched to cable internet from my DSL which was not working out so great for a minecraft server, and i have been unable to connect from the outside IP since.
Charter's technical support has "confirmed" that there are no ports being blocked, and my router is in Dynamic IP mode.
I was trying to use the same router i had successfully used before but after seeming to run out of options, I purchased a new router and I am still in the same jam.
My internal IP for the server is the one I am forwarding to, and the server is up and running within the local network, both at 192.168.0.100 (the server's internal IP address) AND at 192.168.44.2 (the router's internal IP) So it seems to be forwarding within my internal network.
I think my problem lies in my ISP supplied modem/router combo. I refuse to pay them $10 a month to use their managed router service, and I am locked out of the settings for the modem.
My network map looks something like this:
Internet > Modem( External IP 68.119.161.58) > WAN enabled Router(192.168.44.2) > Server 192.168.0.100
My other computer on the network can connect and play using both 192.168.44.2 and 192.168.0.100 Both are working IP's to connect with internally.
Anyone have an Idea of what i have missed? I have the port 25565 open in my router settings, just no one can connect from outside...
Feel free to try and connect btw 68.119.161.58, I do not have a computer on the outside currently and would be nice if someone was able to test if they can see it from the net. all i have been testing my port forwarding with was canyouseeme.org's tools.

3 phone calls, 2 routers, and 5 weeks later the tech support guy knew exactly what to do, and the ports work.
