First off, I am sorry if this is not made right or posted in the Wrong section, i'm new to Minecraft forums.

So I tried launching up Minecraft launcher, but it wouldn't let me play Online. (My internet is perfectly fine). When I played "Offline", When I tried joining a Server, It said " Failed to Login: the authentication are currently down for maintenace."

I do not know what to do... Please help!

To connect to your own server, for the IP Address make sure you type in "localhost"

It says it right there, the auth serv is down lol.

Also, people are on the servers im trying to join so it's fine for them...

They probably auth'd before the servers went down.

If you are already on a server before auth servers go down, you will stay on unless you disconnect.

Do these mean how long they've been down or how long until they'll come back up?

They are under maintenace.If you ware on a server before then a message should say that Mojang is doing some changes so you wont be able to join servers for now.

I find it amazingly funny that http://help.mojang.com/ says 'All services up and healthy' when they are not. I would think the official help page, with on-board status of their systems, would at least mention maintenance or real, actual status.

im a minecraft fan myself, im litrally going insane.

I know how you feel. When it said they are under maintenace I tought that my computer was messing with me. 2 min. later I wanted to smash my computer with a hammer.

look at this, it only took mojang 45 minutes to update the website
