I'd like to ask how to point a domain I own (through GoDaddy in this case) to my Minecraft server IP which is being hosted at MCProHosting.
I do possess a website, not relayed on MCPH's servers, but some other free hosting company. So how can I redirect a sub-domain of it to my server's IP?
Use the GoDaddy panel to create a subdomain (mc.myserver.org, etc.). Once you've done that, you need to point that subdomain to the IP of your server via the A record. I'm guessing you know how to do that...
You shouldn't write the port if you are using the default 25565, the A record directs the client from the domain name to the IP, and then the client decides where to go, someone correct me if I'm wrong but if I understand it correctly the client would then try to connect to mc.myadress.org:25565:25565
And usually DNS records update after 1 hour, if you are still having trouble try contacting MCPH support, last time I heard they have good support and should deal with sub-domains often.

MCPH has a very poor support and they STILL haven't answered my ticket.
Non the less, I tried pointing the IP without the port, I just meant I used it with the port, like this: mc.guyb790.com:29343 .
