Hey guys, I'm playing a server with my friend, and I need some help with learning how to maintain it better.
I run my server with the default .jar file downloaded from the official site. I made a .bat file to run my server with 2 to 3 GB of RAM instead of the default 1GB. So basically, my server runs through the command prompt instead of the GUI. I already have all my ports forwarded, and my friends can connect with no problems.
The only thing is that we encounter a lot of world chunk errors while playing. A simple disconnect and reconnect will fix them, but it can get annoying. My internet is very fast, and my computer is top notch. Is the problem on my end, or are Minecraft's server capabilities just flawed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
tl;dr version:
My computer and internet are fast.
Run server through 2 to 3GB of RAM.
Still encounter many chuck errors.
What do?

Potentially a bit of both.
What are the system specs you run the server on and is it a machine dedicated to the server?
Your Internet access what is the upload speed? That is the critical part for hosting a server as most ISP's only offer a high download but a crappy upload.

Use pastie or pastebin for config files, I do not download them.
