I need help with this ban command. I'm not sure how to do a temporary ban.
The command is shown like this:
/ban [-seo] [-t end ] <target> [reason...]
I'm assuming the [-t end ] is where the arguments for a temporary ban go, but I'm not sure.
Can someone give me an example of a temporary ban with this command?
Depends on which plugin you have handling the ban command. The way the command labelling works is that ones with brackets are not necessary, so you can just do:
For /tempban I am pretty sure you need a plugin. You can use Essentials (You need it anyways, it has /warp, /home, /spawn, and loads of other commands that you can disable and reconfigure) or CommandBook (Bad Essentials). Also, if your server has a website, you can visually display bans and their expriy times online. I use it, and a fellow by the name of XrpmX13 uses it for his server.

/ban 30 <username> because you're banned
or something. Tell me if that works, if it doesn't, I'll be happy to assist you further.

/ban time player reason
Here is a sample of it.
http://xrpmx13.net/bans/
All of those include a /tempban feature.
Usually, the syntax for the command is
/tempban [player] [time {usually like 1m,1h,1d}] [reason]
Remember to always check your plugin write up for any other information.
Hope this helps!
