Once downloaded, rename it to craftbukkit.jar (just craftbukkit if you don't see .jar at the end already). Delete your old craftbukkit.jar file, and replace it with this one.
If you have an online host, then you're done with this part. If you homehost, read on:
For the sake of startup scripts, I'm going to do this now. The one that I personally recommend you use is here:
@ECHO OFF
SET BINDIR=%~dp0
CD /D "%BINDIR%"
java -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit.jar
PAUSE
You can change the "-Xmx1G" to whatever you need for space. For instance, two gigabytes would be "-Xmx2G", and 512megabytes would be "-Xmx512M".
Always have your server named craftbukkit.jar when using this, and it will always work.

The logblock custom download is a site in which is not allowed, but the links are in the comments on logblock's page: http://dev.bukkit.or...r-mods/logblock
Ralex's Worldguard:
That first link will always be up-to-date, but if it's 404'd, use this second backup link:
Anyone with info/updates, fully welcome to post below.
Important Notes
Worldguard Note:
You need the two dev versions of Worldguard and Worldedit for Worldguard to work properly!!
World Conversion and Multiverse:
While yes, it is perfectly compatiable with 1.2, the converter for worlds is not. Multiverse cannot convert them, and will simply overwrite them with a new seed. There is a process of converting your worlds for 1.2, copy and pasted below. Make sure you make backups:
How to convert: [backing up your world is advised]
1. Open up your world folder you want to convert to 1.2
2. Then open the "region" folder You'll see 2 file types .mca and .mcr
3. Delete all the .mca files NOT .mcr be careful which ones your deleting (.mca files are the new file type.)
4. Now copy your world folder to your computers minecraft saves folder. (This is assuming you're hosting minecraft off an actual server). If your hosting multiplayer off your computer just copy your world over to minecraft saves folder
5. Start minecraft with version 1.1, and load your map. Then exit and change your version to 1.2.3
6. Now start up minecraft and go to single player, your world should be there and it should say it has to be converted. Click play selected world and it will convert it automatically
7. After its done converting your world original world should be there. Just copy your world back to your server, or your server folder if your hosting it off your computer.
8.Start the server, and your world should be good to go now.
If you don't have version 1.1, then you can try without loading it on 1.1 before using 1.2.3. But keep in mind this may not always work.
File Names:
Make sure any plugins (like worldguard or worldedit) that you download are named accordingly. For instance, not "worldguard-5.5.3-SNAPSHOT.jar" but "worldguard.jar"
Also a thanks to Ralex for fixing a couple in the meantime.
Older Plugins:
Hence the fact that a lot of bukkit's code has been cleaned up, there are many plugins now that, if not recently updated, may not work. This pretty much encases anything made for 1.1-R1 and back. Also, there are a lot of plugins that, while working up until now, will not work in the future as the Devs have either abandoned them, or have not left a source and have let it be forgotten.
Did not work on mine:
- Chestshop
- Foundboxx
- iConomy
- NoLagg
- OKLogger
- OpeninvObviously any old plugin will not work, also going to say that nowAnd mine appears to work XD
Pretty much everything that stops someone from griefing AND butchers mobs that are spawned. My server is now screwed.
I am working on seeing if it is possible to make WorldGuard work right now. I would do the same with smaller plugins that well. (NOT Essentials, already looked at it a bit and hated it)
Yeah that was what we noticed, when we transferred our own plugin, all we did was take out one import. That was it. Literally the easiest fix xDAlso, essentials is updating while we speak. I see them still uploading new builds.
Pretty sure all the "OK" plugins are dead in the water since the dev seems to have abandoned all his projects
Ehh, that is expected. Apparently a lot of devs for the larger plugins are getting pissed at Bukkit because Bukkit will not be updating bukkit after 1.2 and they don't see the point of updating EVEN THOUGH they are making the new apis going to be backwards compatible with plugins -.-
But I am trying to get a few plugins updated to run right now, like WorldGuard is confirmed if you use a dev from the code in github.
A Note on Older Plugins

Well, given a jar, one can easily make an updated version of it. I have been doing something like that for a few of the older plugins that I have liked.
I will be doing the same for a few plugins as well, to make them compatible
Spoiler'd, because it makes it look awesome.
Go to http://dl.bukkit.org...ds/craftbukkit/ and download the latest beta build. Currently, it is linked here: http://dl.bukkit.org...bukkit-beta.jar
Once downloaded, rename it to craftbukkit.jar (just craftbukkit if you don't see .jar at the end already). Delete your old craftbukkit.jar file, and replace it with this one.

I think WorldEdit works though, just not world guard

Logblock
NoCheat
STAB
Vanish
Vault
Buycraft
From what I have seen
I just verified vault, buycraft, and stab. Logblock has a custom download that works flawlessly (which I'll put up there). Which Vanish?
I had that one working just fine, could vanish with no issuesAnd PEX dev works AFAIK
Towny does not work

- Foundboxx
- iConomy
- NoLagg
- OKLogger
- OpeninvObviously any old plugin will not work, also going to say that nowAnd mine appears to work XD
