Iv been working with pex about 3 months..but Have learned every detail and Know alot About it..i Enjoy Doing pex Because it Is Sometimes a challenge. And A Good Time to Work on focus..But Bottom line i Enjoy Helping and I will Possibly Be Avalible as Mod/Admin soon because of Server Complacations. Thanks

Mind posting an example of your most complex pex configuration? or at least one that covers every detail/aspect of it?
Atm the only 1 i have is from my previose server But id be Happy to Post it.But If u Agree Not to Take credit for any ideas You get From Em
lol
And it is Not Perfect because Its a old draft.
acually thts prolly 1 of the Easiest iv Done ...Hmm I should Rlly See if My Friend Has my old 1 from Last monthand Waterspice.. No way shes Best...What Blonde Can Be Able to Do something Without Pictures :blink.gif: lol Jk
Now really? That is not hard there. Have you used Modifyworld completely? Set up ladders and have players be able to promote on those? Have actually good permissions, do multiworld stuff, and very complex inheritance?
Falling majorly off topic, I honestly tried taking this thread seriously but my brain just wanted to change every P to the letter S with the topic in hand :biggrin.gif:
The OP's first post happens to be the funniest (to me)
How about a node that combines multiple lines into a singe one using the regex support PEX offers? Multiworld inheritance (not group level mind you, world level)? SQL backend troubleshooting?
It very well may be that you do know all this and do know PEX intimately, and if you do, I offer my sincerest apologies. However, your initial post and 'evidence' to support your claim is somewhat lacking.

Trololo Amber and all the rest of you guys, you are so funny lol. And for the dude that posted his PEX file, ermm i really don't think you're an expert, but you aren't that bad at it. I'm not saying im the best but you can still help some people with that knowledge.
Iv been working with pex about 3 months..but Have learned every detail and Know alot About it...
What most people have problems with is when someone claims something. Like this. This is the claim that people do not trust. We are just seeing if you can actually prove it. Don't make claims you cannot prove or are not right since that is what people attack and lowers tour credibility. I do not call myself an expect, but I know what I am doing. I have written a ton of PermissionsEx perm files but I do not call myself an expert. I know what I am doing, but only the experts are the ones who make it and have lived with it. The ones who have done everything with it, that have helped with it, and that actually show it.
If you claim something, prove it. Almost everyone who makes a claim gets criticized to either confirm their knowledge and as such, can be trusted, or are proven wrong and are attacked to protect others. It is a fact of life.
Just if I may comment too, I don't thing he claimed anything. He said that he has been working with it for three months and he likes setting it up, so he wants to help people. There is no claim at all.
Not trying to add to the flaming, but the thread title does say "...IM A EXPERT WITH PEX..."
Otherwise I agree with your post B0T3X1N. I'll take what help is available, and return it if I've anything of value to give.

I would use brackets :smile.gif:
Also you do not have to write any false statements. I mean you do not have to type "default: false" and other stuff like that because it's false by default :smile.gif:
This I know, but it helps keep me organized so I don't make multiple true.
The inheritance on the admin group is kind of redundant with '*' there, and I don't see a need to specifically give lulzadmin '*' at the player level as the name is already part of the admin group, but bracers and a belt is a valid approach. :smile.gif: I also wouldn't have named the only ladder in the permissions set, but to each their own, right?
I would have done something like this (quickly banging this out before I run away from the office), but I'm also somewhat OCD on the layout. :wink.gif:

Yea pretty much, but I wanted to include every aspect that people can modify. (I also usually give my self '*' regardless of rank, therefore I can move through ranks without running back to console)

Ah, that makes sense. An admin friend of mine avoids doing that so when he plays a race or adventure map with his players, they can't claim that he was using some 'sooper admin powerz!!' and cheating to win.
Moving himself to the same group keeps them from (usually) keeps the claims and crys of 'haxz!' at bay.
Now I know as well as you do that there are multiple ways to make it look like one is in the same group, but if it makes them happy... :biggrin.gif:

Well For One I Don't Capitalize Every Word. That'd Be Annoying.
Also, hair dye is pretty cool stuff, you should try it.
(Also, I very much so do not claim to be the best, merely someone who understands it)
The OP's first post happens to be the funniest (to me)
I'll post a full detail PermissionsEx file this afternoon
*sighs*
3 months and an expert? Really? I don't recall seeing any edits on the wiki or your name in the PEX bukkit forums...
Now lets look at your example, which is admittedly old...
Hmm, no code tags in the spoiler and this section is full of extra stuff that's not needed...
