I have a creative level i made for my server in single player and i put it in my server folder to use. I tested it out and saw that it was still in creative, even though the game mode was set to 0. ( 0 = Survival) I was finally smart enough to find out and test my problem:
I created a world in single player as a creative. I then went into my "saves" folder and took it out and put it in my server folder to use as a world. I set the game mode to 0 and the save level switched with no problem. BUT, when i did it with my other save, I put it in the server as a creative, it did not switch to a survival save.
Is there some line of code you can change to convert the level manually to a survival?
Is there a program that can convert the save?
Please keep on posting alternative ways to switch it other than turning the game mode to 0 in the server.properties file. This would be greatly appreciated IF the method above didn't work. (Plan B basically)
I can't get this to work for me. Could it be that we originally created the world as a server world in creative mode. Nothing I try can switch it back. I even moved the server world folder under my single player saves folder got it to switch to survival mode there then copied the folder back to the folder with the server files and it went right back to creative mode even though the properties file is set to 0. Can anyone give me any other thoughts to try?
