Ok. I'm hosting a small server for about 5 people with the average player count being about 3 or 4.
server has a 2.0 dual core, 2 gb of ram, very fast internet via ethernet. windows xp, it had servise pack 3 but I uninstalled it to see if it would help.
So ther server will be fine for awhile and then start to lag and crash. I can't seem to find a rhym or reason to it. We thought it was one of our players having too slow of internet but it would do it from a local connection as well. one of our players uses a mac everyone elese uses a pc...
I had it set to use 1.5 gigs of ram but it'll still give us probloms. right now ramdom players can and can not get on. We use himatchi...

What can i use instead? I have a dynamic ip.
I am a representative of Akliz.
Not totally sure what that is. I just have the server and himatchi ..
No-ip and Dyndns both offer lightweight programs that will update a hostname with your IP every time it changes.
So Yiu guys think it's himatchi lagging out the network?
