I was able to play Minecraft without having to muddle with the settings as said you have to do.
In order for a player to successfully enter a LAN server, he or she must simply type in any username in the login section of the Minecraft launcher. No password is needed, no internet connection is needed; just a username and hit login. Once the game is loaded, it will display the player's name as whatever is typed in the username in the launcher, and the player is able to enter a LAN server.
Is there a easier way to do this than all of that. When i watch videos on how to start one it does not give the full IP address. If i start a LAN server from my minecraft, it just gives a (Example 12345.) If there is a easier way to do this please reply.
