I am getting this error when trying to connect to my server using 127.0.0.1 as the IP to join.
I have the server software running without errors on another computer in my house, with the actual minecrafting happening on my laptop.
I have not edited the server.properties in any way, aside from turning monsters to false.
I am clueless as to what port forwarding is, as I have no way I have knowing my model number on my Linksys.
Help? Many, MANY & s to who can find the correct fix.
Thanks in advance.
you have to find the IP address of the computer running the server *start>cmd>ipconfig for windows.... use that to connect. 127.0.0.1 is a local loop back address that just goes right back to the computer it starts from.... IE the one you are typing it in to

Hey, do you want the server IP?
I would love to have someone as knowledgeable as you on the server.

I don't have physical access to my router, so I can't find it to be able to forward the port.
192.168.0.1 should be the address to your router.
